Whats different about Duggity? It's not just a social bookmark site. It also has news feeds to help find interesting news and 1 click submission to Duggity as well as many other sites too. No more copy and paste. From here you can submit with a minimum of fuss. However, you can still edit the headline and comments if you want.

You can have a personal page here and customize it with pictures or your own feeds. Users can create a personal blog and then submit it to others. VIP Users can enter their own google adsense account info and get ad impressions to your google account to make some money for good posts. Any page that you have submitted here, the adsense revenue goes to your account, just like owning a piece of Duggity whenever anyone views the page. Where else will you find that? Ever heard of the other sites sending out dividend checks?

We also have a limited forum for discussions. Registration is easy and fast. You can get a basic account with no email verification. Post within seconds. After verification, you have more options on the site.

There are 3 types of users (other than admins).

The basic user who registers, but never validates via email has the following rights:

1. Can post links.
2. Can vote on links.
3. Can read blogs, forum posts and other content.
4. Can read and post from our public news feeds with 1 click posting on most sites.

The vip user that responds to the validation email has the above items plus:

1. Can earn karma.
2. Can post in the forums.
3. Can have a personal blog page.
4. Can send personal messages to other vip users.
5. Can have a personal buddy list.
6. Can have a personal home page for storing content that you want, even news feeds.
7. Can view other user's profile pages

The gold user that has an adsense account registered with google has all the rights as a basic and vip user plus:

1. Gets paid directly from google adsense whenever their content pages are displayed.

So, you can see this is definately different than any other sites like this in that you can actually make a little money from posting good popular content.

Voting and karma:

Our voting and karma engine is being refined on the fly as we get more experience. To start, we have made a few rules and hope to get feedback from our users as we progress to make this the best site of this type around.

1. Nobody can vote up or down a link without viewing it first. No more going down the page and downvoting every link but yours or your friends.

2. No link can be downvoted for at least 10 mins from being posted to give everyone a chance to look at it.

3. 1 karma point is awarded for each link you post. As the links get voted up or down, your karma will change accordingly. You could actually get negative karma if the link is downvoted a lot. Karma is under development and we want to see some numbers as we go before finishing it. We also want feedback from our users in the forum.

4. As a user achieves higher karma over time, their upvotes count more, but the downvotes are still minus 1 point. High karma users can influence a links point standing and get it to the front page quicker.

We only have one rule here for posting, and that is nothing x-rated or not appropriate for work viewing. Users that violate this rule will be banned without question.
